Unlikely rock covers

There are a few cover songs that make you go "Huh?". These may be some of them.

Van Halen goes Motown! «Dancing in the Street» is a song from 1964, first recorded by Martha and the Vandellas. It has also been covered by David Bowie and Mick Jagger, which made an epic (and superhomoerotic) music video of it. We’ll give you both of them!

Speaking of Bowie. Here’s a cover of his song «Modern Love» by one of our personal favorites; Lucero.

Megadeth’s version of Nancy Sinatra’s «These Boots are made for Walking» are from way back in the 80’s, but they really nailed it!

This one is just… weird. Not one of our favorites, but still, here you’ll find Lacuna Coil covering R.E.M.’s «Losing my Religion».

Lemmy Kilminster was one of the great rebels of rock n’ roll, but this song shows a softer side of him. «Stand by me» was featured in the 80’s movie with the same name, and originally performed by Ben E. King.

Led Zeppelin’s «Stairway to Heaven» as a country tune! Love it or hate it – at least it is a creative version. And how about that banjo, folks?!?!?
